I ventured out to Connecticut to Christian’s home to capture his newest collection in a socially distanced setting. Shields and gloves were in no short supply.
Guests sat 6ft apart in furniture provided by Lowe’s with picnic baskets filled with snacks, lunch and of course rosé. Billy Porter arrived in high chunky heels perfect for grass walking and a mask with a matching hat to top off the look.
The eventful fashion show showcased masks with every look and messages of voting. Pregnant Coco closed the show in a show stopping red floor length dress before she graceful got in the pool in her runway ruby red dress, soaking up all 200 lbs of fabric.
Guests were given Hendrick’s bottles on the way out to enjoy in their uber rides home back into the city.
As my car pulled away from the driveway, I looked out onto the peaceful streets, so different from the Manhattan hustle and bustle I am used to. I thought of how grateful I was to be back shooting a show in this new era of fashion week.
Siriano perfectly executed a collection and created a performance to be talked about and written in headlines. He is the perfect example that creativity is still flowing and designers are more focused than ever to produce work that is meaningful and powerful.
