Anyone who knows me knows I am obsessed with the Museum of Fine Arts. so when the Celtics told me this was where the gala was being hosted, I was over joyed with excitement. The players were dressed to the nines in clothes like Del Toro velvet shoes and Givenchy white button ups. It's a fashion show on it's own. Players take the stage and talk about goals for the upcoming season and their work during the off season.

Shooting Optum Volunteer day for the Celtics is one of my favorite events to shoot. Kelly Olynyk, Jae Crowder and Jonas Jerebko stopped by to talk to students at the Robert Frost School in Lawrence to help out with some of the construction and painting.
The pep rally had to have been the loudest group of kids I ever have shot. Enthusiastic about school, learning and their new renovated school thanks to Optum and the Celtics, they couldn't stop screaming and cheering.
Kelly is like a big kid. Watching him last week at The Franklin Park Zoo was such a treat. Kelly spent the day riding camels, taking selfies and snapchatting with the kids, feeding birds and doing many piggy back rides.
The children from Horizons for homeless were so grateful to spend the day at the zoo and were in awe of every animal. Plastered against the glass, the kids "oohed and awed," although when lunch time came I think they were thrilled for a break from the 90 degree weather.

Last year's Draft Party at the Seaport Hotel was nothing compared to the 3,000 dedicated fans and season ticket holders who filled the seats and floor of The Garden last night for the 2016 Draft Night Party.
Seeing the banners down on the court was something special. Not sure I have seen so many people Snapchatting at the same time. Brad Stevens addressed the crowd to start the event. Attendees watched the clock in anticipation for the #3 pick and anxiously waited for Wyc to come out after the selection.
The Garden stayed pack for the entire night watching the Draft Picks live on the jumbotron.
I have never seen the TD Garden this insane. Ever.
Even before my three years with the Boston Celtics, I can't remember attending a game with this much energy.
Sadly the season has officially come to a close, but Celtics fans have passion running through their blood all year long. Before I know it Shamrock Gala will be around the corner, starting off the 2016-2017 NBA season with so much intensity and drive.
Last night was a unique event for the Celtics. Rarely does my fashion work and NBA work collide, so I was excited to be able to shoot an event sponsored by Alex and Ani. Anything sold last night between 5 and 7pm at the Newbury St. location, 15% of the sales went back to the marathon runners of the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation Marathon team. The runners included a husband and wife, Celtics' community relations manager and more.
Celtics dancers Tinaiya and Peyton pose for photos with JoJo White and the family of the runners, Lucky searches for a gift for his new fiancé and sales are tallied up at the door while guests sip on drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

William A Berkowitz Elementary School students kept me feeling young yesterday.
I found myself in a heated battled of whose better: Superman or Batman with a group of second graders. I also discovered my lack of knowledge for the lyrics to The Weeknd's hit songs.
The day ended with a pep rally, where a teacher scorned at me to sit down, thinking I was a student followed by a mosh pit greater than any music festival with Kelly Olynyk in the middle.
NBA Fit week has officially started, and Kelly Olynyk has the kids of Waltham YMCA pumped and ready to go. Co-sponsored by Sun Life, the event hosted 5 different schools at the Waltham YMCA. Along with Lucky and Celtics Dancer Sarah, Kelly taught the kids healthy nutrition and work outs to keep them fit.

Rosie's Place was the first women's shelter in the US, established in 1974.
When I received the email from the Celtics team telling me the first community event of 2016 would be held there, I was elated. I couldn't have asked for a better assignment for my first shoot of the new year.
Amir Johnson arrived and the women went crazy. He personally delivered every chicken parm (pronounced PAHMM) to the women in the shelter, feeding over 80. TD Garden volunteers and Celtics staff prepared the food in the kitchen and put plates together in an assembly row fashion.
Amir and Dana Barros signed autographs and took photos with anyone who wanted one, leaving many women giddy and thankful.

Isaiah is one of the most kind hearted players on the team. He does a tremendous amount of charity work and as it was mentioned at the event, "it's hard to keep up with all the things he wants to do in the community."
The "Isaiah Claus" holiday event was held at the Coast Guard Base in Boston's North End. The afternoon was spent wrapping gifts for children while listening to Christmas music. (Not enough of Justin Bieber's Christmas album I might add, but that's another story).
Isaiah moved from station to station helping the Coast Guard and chatting with the volunteers. The day ended with photos of Isaiah and the volunteers and some autograph signing.
The Celtics truly do a lot of charity work around the holiday season and I was honored to be a part of such a wonderful event.

The Celtics are one of my oldest clients. This will be my third year working for them.
On big game nights, like last night I shoot fan photos. Capturing the passion and love that Bostonians have for their team. Boston fans are truly the best fans. No matter what they support their hometown.
I look for unique apparel, children, families, people on dates, rivals, as well as the occasional team member interacting with the fans. Season ticket holders sometimes have the most crazy fan gear.
Green does run deep on Causeway Street.
