The sun was in our favor for this recent beauty shoot with Jamie. All shot in her home, I highlighted the serum by letting the sun illuminate it. A mix of beauty and still life came together for this sponsored shoot featured on her social.

Jamie Chung Socially Distanced
This socially distance shoot of Jamie Chung for Thakoon was all shot in NYC at a 6ft plus distance. It was quiet outside as this was shot in early May, giving us plenty of room to spread out safely and shoot from a distance. It’s hard to believe Jamie and I have been collaborating together for at least 6+ years now. Seems like just yesterday we were meeting at The Standard Hotel for oysters while she showed me her engagement ring.
I had so much fun getting back out and shooting during quarantine (safely of course) and can’t wait to share more of my work taken during this time.

Jamie Chung X NYFW
When she was in NYC for a few days during NYFW, Jamie Chung and I collaborated on some shoots for Parker and Adidas. I can't believe I have known Jamie for 4 years now. Our first shoot was at the Standard Hotel Highline in the bathroom where they had these killer black and white patterned walls. She introduced me that day to my now obsession with oysters and she had just recently got engaged. I always love shooting with Jamie while she is in town and catching up. Happy to call her a friend and a client!

Armani Beauty with Jamie Chung & Bryan Greenberg
When Jamie asked me to shoot her and her husband Bryan for social content, I immediately said YES. The intimate shoot on the roof overlooking the city was the perfect setting to showcase the Armani fragrances. I had met Bryan a couple times when he was in NY, but never got to shoot them together.
Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic 2017
My friend Jamie Chung invited me to join her at this year's 10th anniversary of the VCPC. As Freida Pinto said when she came over to the table, "Most celebs ignore you when they see you at events even if you have met before. But Jamie goes out of her way to come over and say hello." That couldn't be more true. Her kind and warm personality is contagious.
This is one of the few times I got to attend an event like this as a guest. Usually I am in all black and geared out as I mingle through the crowds trying to capture every moment. I brought my camera along to shoot some looks of Jamie, but that was all captured in the first 10 mins. Jamie told me to put my camera down and have fun. I struggled to separate my personal life from my work life. So use to being glued to my camera, I continued to shoot for fun, capturing unique moments of the day. I left with a more personal collection of images, not the typical celeb red carpet focus I am often hired to shoot.
I hope as you look at these images you feel the intense sunshine of the day and the laughs between my friends and I.
CLASSIC & SIMPLE for Jamie Chung
Jamie is always a doll to work with and is such a sweet friend. Haven't seeing each other in a while, it was a blast to catch up on everything from life to the bachelorette. This gorgeous rooftop had perfect white hydrangeas. They screamed photo op.

Jamie Chung for E! News
Jamie and I first met a little over a year ago. I gushed over her new engagement ring over oysters at the Standard Highline Hotel. Which then turned into an impromptu photoshoot in the bathroom
We later collaborated a bunch of times doing work for her blog What The Chung during fashion week and outfit posts.
Jamie contacted me about a piece she was doing for E! News about how to wear a skirt 3 different ways for Macy's. We met at her apartment in BK and roamed around scouting locations for each of the looks. It had begun to rain during the shoot, but Jamie is so incredibly easy to work with and is so photogenic, that it only takes a few seconds before you know you got the shot. Sometimes it's making sure the shirt flows perfectly in the wind, a hand gesture or a giggle that takes the shot from "street style" to lifestyle.
